Drum Skinning, Tuning & Repair
Drum Roots offer high quality djembe skinning service (goat skin) and have developed a great reputation in the North West - even rated by some as among the best in the UK.
- Reskinning £60 (including skin, existing rope/rings in a good condition)
- Reskinning (including skin, replacement rope)£70
- Additional work £10 hour (ring welding, woodwork repairs, such as filing the rim, gluing cracks)
Or if your skin is in good condition, but has gone slack, let us retune your drum: - Fine tuning (including a lesson on how to do it yourself!) £10
- Full Cranking (when uprights need pulling) £20

Fairly Traded Djembes
Drum Roots are proud to stock a range of fairly traded djembe's for sale. Sourced for their quality, these hand carved drum shells are supplied direct from wood carvers in West Africa, ensuring a fair deal for their craft. We then hand finish and skin each drum shell in the UK to a high standard, tuning each one for it's optimum sound.
