With just a week to go until Drumroots Live at Manchester’s Platt Chapel things are heating up and starting to get very exciting. The already amazing venue is waiting for us to turn it to a very special space for a one off event, the super strong line-up is unique and powerful, with a broad mix of talents and styles, we’re expecting a full turn out (so get down early for music from 6.15pm) and with a little input from ourselves and the kind work and donations of our friends in the African drumming scene, the raffle is looking so good that it’d be worth coming down to Drumroots Live for that alone!
Prizes will Include:….
- A £500 Holiday Voucher with The Gambia Experience
- A Professional Guinean Lye Konate Lenke Djembe from Conakry
- A case of wine
- Hand printed Tanante Tshirts (produced and donated by one69a)
- Private drumming lessons with Drumroots
- And more TBC
As with all the proceeds of the night, all sales from raffle tickets will be donated to Medecins sans Frontieres who are working very hard in east Africa in the on-going crisis, drought and famine. For an up to date report of the situation in East Africa, see this very recent BBC News report.
Finally, to every one of our friends and to the companies who have donated or organised prizes for our raffle so very kind and generously, we say a massive thank you.
