Main class: Manchester longest running West African Drumming class. This mixed-ability drop-in class is good for beginners and experienced players - and at the start of each month, we begin a new rhythm, giving participants the opportunity to learn both djembe and dundun. We teach basic accompaniments, bass lines, arranged breaks and solo material, plus traditional African songs, working as a group towards an overall understanding of the music.

I am hoping to attend your workshop for beginners tomorrow evening with a couple of friends. Please can you let me know if we can just turn up and whether there will be drums we can use?

    Kind regards

      Hi Helen,

You and your friends are more than welcome to come along to the Tuesday night djembe class, we always bring plenty of drums. There’s no need to book a place in advance or anything like that you can just turn up.

      Hope to see you tonight!
