Benkadi Project Building strong relationships with Sangbaralla in Guinea.

Diene Sagna A dancer who regularly performs with Tanante, based in Manchester, Diene is an incredible performer, excellent teacher, leads high energy workshops and runs dance  holidays in Dakar, Senegal.

Drum Music Drum Music is a collective. Drum music is a monthly nightclub event. Drum Music is the meeting of roots and dance music. Drum music aims to bring people together to be entertained, informed and inspired.

Drums Aloud This arts organisation brings West African drumming, dancing and culture to Birmingham, the Black Country and surrounding areas.

Iya Sako Born in upper guinea and now resident in the UK. Iya is our Master djembe fola, friend and teacher who regularly works and performs with Tanante.

Rhythm Bridge Foundation An excellent organisation in Hebden Bridge that organises festivals and workshops.

Seckou Keita  Master drummer from Senegal, world-class teacher and charismatic performer.

Sens Sanga Offers some of the finest African dance workshops and performances in the UK and runs Dance holidays in Senegal.

Namory Keita is our teacher and friend. He is the village djembe fola in Sangbaralla in Guinea and often spends time in the USA.

Kontaani Macclesfield based drumming group; excellent friends who we work with and offer us great support.

Zoom Photography Our favourite photographer, John Cooper has a special talent for live and gig photography and has photographed at our most recent Drumroots Live events.

Nanasday Keita; Djembe Master, nephew of Famadou Konate and dear friend who invited us to his village Sangbaralla in the North-East of Guinea.

Hamana Bjermakan; Lemington Spa based group, with Vieux Bakayoko and Nahini Doumbia. Often appearing alongside Tanante they produce incredible ballet style drumming, song and dance shows.

Sura Susso; Griot Kora player and singer from the gambia who has performed and recorded with Tanante.

Sidiki Dembele; A multi-talented and highly experienced African musician from Ivory coast. Sidiki works and performs with Tanante playing Djembe, Balafon and Ngoni.

African Drum Village; Our longest standing regular African music festival in the beautiful Scottish glens.

Drum Camp; A diverse festival with the highest standard of world percussion performance and workshops.

African Beats Camp; An amazingly welcoming, friendly and well organised festival of West African music, song and dance with something for everyone.
