Weds 19th Oct: Drumroots return to 1st Castle Rainbows and Brownies, Northwich.

The Drumroots workshop team returned for the second time this year to the Charles Darwin Primary School, Northwich to deliver workshops with the 1^st Castle Cheshire Forest Girl Guides for groups of Rainbows (Girls aged 5-7) and Brownies (age7-10). Some familiar and some new faces of the young girl guides welcomed us back (‘on popular demand!’) to lead workshops, and as before the staff leaders where friendly and interested, joining in the workshops with the girls. This group of young people (especially the younger Rainbows, some of whom we’d played with before) were exceptional at learning how to play the djembe and we were allowed to take the session to a level of playing that we normally reserve for much older children and adults. We thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and hope to return soon.
