Tanante Bring the Beat to Lindisfarne Festival!

Lindsfarne Festival

At the end of the summer, Tanante had the absolute pleasure of performing at Lindisfarne Festival in the beautiful North East – and what a weekend it was! We took to the Dingle Dell stage on Friday night, and from the very first beat, the energy was unreal.

The Dingle Dell tent had an incredible sound system – every tone from the djembes and every thump of the dununs came through perfectly. You could feel the rhythm vibrating through the ground, and the crowd instantly locked in with every groove. Dancers packed the front, others were clapping and moving at the back – the whole tent came alive.

Playing with the stunning backdrop of Holy Island made the whole experience even more special. Some of the group managed to visit the island during the weekend, taking in the views and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere before heading back into the buzz of the festival. There’s something magical about having that scenery and sea air alongside the music – it really adds to the spirit of Lindisfarne.

A huge thanks to Ben, who runs the Dingle Dell stage, for inviting us and making everything run so smoothly. It’s always a joy to play for a crowd that’s so open, warm, and ready to get involved.

When we weren’t performing, we got to catch some absolutely incredible acts across the weekend, including Dutty Moonshine Big Band, Dog Show, Sugarhill Gang, Dub Pistols, and the mighty Northfire Sound. Every stage had its own vibe, and it was great to see so much variety and talent across the festival.

Lindisfarne really has something special – friendly people, stunning views, and a truly uplifting atmosphere. For us, it’s what live drumming is all about: sharing rhythm, connecting through music, and creating those unforgettable moments together.

We loved every minute of it – and we’re already hoping to be back next year!
