Drumroots New Pro Djembe Range

Drumroots are excited to announce that our brand new stock of professional, African djembe drums are now available to buy. It’s been a while since we began the process of ordering our new range of djembes, but they were well worth the wait. Each drum has been skilfully crafted by our colleagues in Conakry, Guinea, using a range of African hard woods (Lenke, Hare and Djalla) and only the best quality skins, rings and rope.

We’ve had so much fun testing these out, making sure that each djembe is tuned to perfection, so that it produces a range of crisp, clear sounds and a slap that’s as sharp as a knife! Not only do the drums sound great, but with immaculate, intricate carvings, they look the part too. You’ll be the envy of all your drumming buddies with one of these beauties!
We currently have a large stock of these top of the range djembes, but don’t wait too long to choose your perfect instrument, as once we put the word out, they usually sell out very quickly. Please get in touch for more details.
Also, don’t forget that Drumroots also stock the best quality Protection Racket Djembe
bags
and run a mail order service to send drums out wherever you are. If you are just starting out on the djembe, watch this space for more news about our mid-price range of djembes, coming soon.

  1. I recently had a very entertaining visit to Drumroots new studio in Salford (nice place, too) and tried out several of the new drums. It was so hard to make a decision. They are all beautiful, and sound amazing. Having Jamie play them with me was a great help, and commonsense eventually dictating that I should put the heaviest ones to one side, I eventually (it did take a while!) chose one made of Hare wood. Having made the choice, I thought it deserved one of the excellent Protection Racket cases that Drumroots also have available. They aren’t cheap, but they are very robust and give excellent protection from the elements, temperature changes etc. How am I getting on with it? Well, me and my drum (my second) are getting on just fine, getting to know each other, putting in the effort. It all takes time, but we are certainly having fun!
